A Ghermlie Story, The Protector of the Seventh Kingdom Key, is a children's action-adventure fantasy book, comprised of colourful hand drawn illustrations. The Ghermlies are carefree, harmless creatures, who live in the Kingdom of Pink Rock, in the Hives deep under the ground. The story follows Glee, a hardworking, yet clumsy Ghermlie. After a busy morning fruit picking from the tops of the peeko trees, Glee is thrown into a perilous situation. Knocking his head on the ground after falling from a great height, Glee awakes to find that his king and fellow Ghermlies have disappeared. Accompanied by his trusted pet Dink, Glee immediately sets out on a search to find them, but soon realises that all is not well in the Kingdom of Pink Rock. When he learns of their fate under the dark reign of the evil King Kructor, Glee and Dink embark on a mission to retrieve the powerful kingdom key, striving to find the wise but mystical Mirkles for help and sanctuary. Along the way they have many fascinating encounters, some friendly and helpful, others villainous and wicked. But can Glee - with help from Dink - save the Ghermlies from the cruel, spiteful plans Kructor as in-store for them?
