The fall of the Kakatiya Empire was a devestating series of events for the people of the once great bastion of the South. The Delhi Sultanate's invasion and fierce battles against the Kakatiya Empire led to Islamic rule extending across the lands of the Telugu people but also to the lands of vassals who were once part of the expansive Kakitiya network. People of all castes suffered from the cruel hands of the Delhi Sultanate.
