The King Bee

Seshmi is a mother of seven who is constantly looking for quality Afrocentric literature for her family.

Her passion for Kemet (ancient Egypt), fueled by a graduate class that introduced her to the plaque at the feet of the Sphinx (the Dream Stele), combined with one of her daughters becoming a beekeeper, led to a dive into the bee hieroglyphics.

The King Bee, a Kemetic Tale, is a story about bringing order amid chaos. By speaking with the wise people in your life and allowing the inspiration from within to guide you, solutions to the most difficult challenges can often be found.

Another theme of the story is the power of working together! The Kemetic King did not select the most furious animals in his kingdom, but instead, one of the most harmonious and industrious. And by sharing this powerful information with the community, everyone benefited.
